Store Manager

We are now looking for a professional and customer service-oriented new Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail location. As the store manager, you will supervise the operational and organizational standards of the store, motivate staff, and execute the company’s key objective each week.

We have recently been awarded the Best Ski Shop in SLC for the fourth year in a row and have over 1200 five-star reviews at our Sandy locations. The ideal candidate must be able to consistently achieve our high level of customer satisfaction and meet all monthly sales targets. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should also demonstrate outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills. An ability to actively manage, motivate, and develop sales and rental associates is critical.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and leverage provided business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability.
  • Hire, train, and oversee new staff.
  • Develop and maintain a schedule for employees and promotions centered on holiday sales and other seasonal cycles.
  • Motivate the sales team to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring staff.
  • Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Implement cross-training of employees and Assistant Managers to maintain productivity at all times.
  • Ensure the store remains clean and presentable at all times.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking, implement purchasing plans and maintain contact with suppliers when needed to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals.
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional, timely manner.
  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
  • Undertake store administration duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail environment, ideally in a key managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
  • Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.
  • Self-motivated, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to operate basic business software programs
