What does AJ Motion Sports do?

AJ Motion Sports is the highest-rated ski rental shop in Salt Lake City, known for our exceptional service and wide range of offerings. We provide ski and snowboard rentals, including both daily and season-long options (season rentals available to locals only). In addition to rentals, we sell high-quality ski gear and snowshoes. Our goal is to ensure that everyone, from beginners to experienced skiers, has the best possible experience on the slopes.

What are your store hours?

Our store hours can vary, especially during different seasons, so we recommend checking Google for the most up-to-date information.

Typically, during the peak winter season, our hours are as follows:
– Monday to Saturday: 8 AM – 8 PM
– Sunday: 8 AM – 6 PM

Do you offer ski equipment rentals?

Absolutely! Ski and snowboard rentals are our specialty. We offer both daily rentals and season rentals (for locals only) to suit your needs. Whether you’re visiting for a short trip or spending the entire season on the slopes, we’ve got you covered.

Can I make an appointment for a gear fitting?

We do not offer appointments for gear fittings. If you’re renting equipment, the fitting will be done at the time of rental to ensure you get the best fit for your needs. If you’re just curious about your size or need advice on gear, feel free to visit any of our locations. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you, no appointment necessary.

Do you offer ski tuning and maintenance services?

Yes, we do! We offer comprehensive ski tuning, repair, and maintenance services to keep your equipment in top condition. Whether you need a quick tune-up or extensive repairs, our experienced technicians are here to help ensure you have a safe and enjoyable time on the slopes.

What is your return policy?

Our return policy varies depending on the type of purchase:

– Brand-New Gear Purchases: We offer a 30-day return policy for brand-new gear, provided the items are still in unused condition with the original packaging and tags.
– Used Gear Purchases: Unfortunately, we do not accept returns or exchanges for used gear purchases.
– Daily Rentals: We will refund you for any unused rental days, ensuring you only pay for the time you actually used the equipment.
– Season Rentals: There are no refunds for early returns on season rentals.

Do you offer discounts for groups or clubs?

Yes, we do offer discounts for large groups and clubs.

Do you offer any financing options for gear purchases?

At this time, we do not offer any financing or payment plan options for gear purchases. We encourage our customers to check for any ongoing promotions or discounts to make their purchases more affordable.

Can I trade in my old gear for a discount on new equipment?

Unfortunately, we do not currently buy or take old gear as trade-ins for discounts on new equipment. We recommend checking with local buy/sell/trade groups or consignment shops for options to sell or trade your used gear.

Do you have any special deals or promotions?

Our deals and promotions are constantly changing, so it’s best to check our website or contact us directly for the latest offers. Please note that season rentals are never on sale, but renting early gives you access to better equipment and a wider selection.

How often should I get my skis tuned?

The frequency of ski tuning depends on how often you ski and the conditions you ski in. Generally, we recommend getting your skis tuned after every 5-10 days on the slopes. If you notice your skis aren’t performing as well, such as losing their edge or feeling sluggish, it’s a good idea to bring them in for a tune-up. Regular maintenance ensures your skis remain in top condition and perform their best.

Do you offer online shopping or home delivery?

We offer a limited selection of our products on our e-commerce website, ajmotion.com. Approximately 5% of our total inventory is available for online purchase. These items can be bought directly through the website and delivered straight to your home, providing a convenient option for those who prefer shopping online.
